YETI Rambler® French Press FAQ
How does the Rambler® French Press work?
The YETI™ Rambler® French Press leads with durability and thermal performance offering double-wall vacuum insulation. We’ve engineered our GroundsControl Filter which stops the brewing process after plunging, allowing the consumer to keep their coffee hot in their YETI™ French Press vessel without over-extracting their coffee. Additionally, we’ve added our DuraSip™ Ceramic lining for a smooth pour and easy cleaning experience. An elongated handle for a comfortable and controlled grip on the vessel and a non-slip foot makes for a soft landing onto surfaces. The plunger construction is clean and bull simple, no small parts or difficult assembly experiences. The vessel and all components are dishwasher safe.
Is the French Press insulated? Will it keep my coffee hot in between pours?
Yes, like all Rambler® Drinkware Vessels, the French Press is double-wall vacuum insulated to keep your coffee hot until your next pour.
What is the preferred temperature of water for optimal brewing?
Please reference the use instructions provided with purchase. YETI recommends hot water at 200F or 93C.
Can the French Press be Personalised?
No, not at the moment.
How fine should I grind the coffee beans when using the French Press?
Please reference the use instructions provided with purchase. YETI recommends using coarsely ground coffee. Do not use fine ground coffee. Using fine ground coffee can clog the filter causing the plunger to become difficult to use and high pressure to build in the product.
Can I store my French Press in the fridge or freezer?
Similar to our insulated Rambler® Products, we do not recommend placing the French Press in the freezer as loss of vacuum may occur. You may place the French Press in the fridge to chill but please keep in mind, condensation may build up after removing due to the product transitioning from a cold environment to a warm environment.
Can the French Press be used to brew tea?
Yes, the French Press can be used to brew both coffee and tea.
How many cups does the french press make?
The 34 oz. can brew 2-4 cups and 64 oz. can brew 6+ cups.
How do I make sure the lid is sealed correctly?
There are detent bubbles on the interior of the French Press vessel that needs to fit within the plastic lid hooks of the lid to ensure it's properly sealed in place.
To install the lid, do I twist the metal plunger knob or the clear plastic lid part?
The clear plastic lid part is the component to turn to lock into the vessel. Place your fingers on the clear plastic groves for optimal control and grip when installing or removing the lid. This ensures your lid is securely on when you pour.
